The 36-pin wire adapter (Part #C3420) facilitates custom electrode wiring by bringing out all electrode contacts from a headstage – as well as reference and ground – to 34 AWG wires 18 inches (45 cm) in length. These wires may be trimmed to the desired length and soldered to other conductors or connectors.

To reduce noise pickup, the lengths of these wires should be minimized, and the wires should be bundled together to avoid creating open loops that can pick up inductive interference.

Tip: The easiest way to remove insulation from the ends of the wires is by using a flame to burn off the outer coating.
